Vignesh Sundaresan, aka MetaKovan, is a blockchain technologist and founder of Metapurse. He has been exploring how art can be widely disseminated, experienced and absorbed with the aid of technology. He has been instrumental in catalysing the burgeoning connection between art and NFTs.
He seeks emerging linkages between different modes of art production and technology with the idea of ensuring inclusivity, and to create and shape infrastructure that nurtures ecosystems for knowledge generation and sharing. His world view is governed by imagination of a rhizome as it makes people central to his ideas about technology as well as art. Empathy remains the cornerstone through which he approaches everything in life.
Metakovan’s journey started with building worlds through code. From playing around with the possibilities of code, he today is mapping Metaverse geographies. With a focus on social entrepreneurship and the transformative power of the blockchain, his projects have imparted a unique understanding of how blockchain will find its place in our digital future.
